Greenlight Trust
This is a simple annual review for the local charity Greenlight Trust, whose mission is to bring communities to life by working with nature and encouraging each individual to play their role in safeguarding its future. The single A2 sheet (100% recycled paper) folds right down to a pocket-sized A6. Words and photographs were interpreted with traditional typography, the use of old engravings and ‘flowers and flourishes’ (or typographic symbols). One of the biggest bonuses for the client was that Barry was able to negotiate a one-off donation of free printing by Alpha Print (www.alphaprint.co.uk) – a sympathetic and like-minded local supplier here in East Anglia.

There's an inconvenient truth about the marriage of good writing and design: it's so harmonious that it's easy to assume it must be a doddle. It isn't. The magic is in making people think it is.
